8.30.11 Gatorific! {12/366}

When I first heard that we had to attend a "rally" at the high school on Tuesday afternoon, I was ticked! It takes an insane amount of time to set up an elementary classroom. We were all a little disappointed that we were being take away from our rooms to attend some pep rally. I was more than skeptical (and I am a very spirited person!!) but it was GREAT! We did it big. Everyone dressed up. We decorated the school bus. Our new principal led us to the high school in a convertible filled with green and orange balloons. We walked in carrying banners, spirit sticks, and singing our song. We were, by far, the most spirited school there. And our Gator spirit is just one reason we're the top school in the county :)

8.29.11 Let's Get it Started! {11/366}

This is what my classroom looked like on Monday morning. It takes a lot of work to get it ready by Thursday evening, but somehow it all gets done! It wouldn't be so bad except everything had to come off the walls from last year (I got tile floors!) and I was in such a rush to get moved out (again, because of the tile floors) that there was no organization whatsoever. I felt like I was walking in circles most of the day, moving on to another task before I was finished with the one I had started. But it's now Tuesday evening and I'm feeling good. Tomorrow is Wall Wednesday- I'm only focusing on my walls...and they are going to be fabulous!

10/366: Buh-bye

Today, as Abigail turns 4 months, I say goodbye to my pump.

9/366: Cheese!

The girls were so excited to be together during hurricane Irene!

8/366: Cinnamon Roll

It's my last Friday at home for the summer. Hurricane Irene is arriving tomorrow so we did our grocery shopping today. I decided at the last minute to take the girls to Panera for breakfast. Audrey wanted bread (of course), Abigail drank a small bottle, and I enjoyed coffee and a very delicious cinnamon roll. I foresee many trips there next summer!

7/366: Hands

I held Abigail as she took a quick afternoon nap. I love those tiny, chubby hands!

6/366: 32 months

Today Audrey is 2 years and 8 months old. Exactly 4 months until she turns three :)

5/366: EARTHQUAKE!!

We had an earthquake yesterday just before 2:00 pm. Abigail and I had to run out of Target. Very scary!

4/366: Funny

Abigail thinks it's funny when Audrey jumps. See the video here.

3/366: Sleepy

This afternoon, instead of putting Abigail into her swing for a nap, I held her and rocked her to sleep. I don't take the time to do that as often as I'd like. I love bending down to kiss her yummy face. I love watching as her eyes get super heavy and close. I just love the feeling of having her in my arms. I really should take the time to do this more often!

2/366: My girl & me

Today Audrey and I went to see Snow White at the Riverside Dinner Theater. Just her and me, a special outing with just the two of us. I loved it and I think she did, too.

1/366: "Read the book, Mama!!"

While I pump, Audrey likes to bring me a stack of mini Disney books and perch on the arm of the love seat while I read to her. I absolutely adore how she rests her face in her hands. I also love how she tries to finish each sentence (and she can do this because we've read them so many times!)
